Home again, home again! It's nice to be back people! Last night Joe, Mike, Mom and Dad met me at the airport. :) Haven't had Joe there usually before so it was kind of different... in a good way. It's been a long couple of weeks though between finals and traveling. I finished my last final at 9:55 p.m. on the last day. Tests had to be turned in by 10:00. Cutting it a little close, I know. That night I didn't get to sleep because I had to pack and do cleaning checks which I had not had time for earlier in the week. Though I did take a break for IHOP with some friends around 2 am. That was fun.
Thursday some friends and I took a road trip down to St. George and Las Vegas. We drove down to St. George Thursday and stayed around there. Went to the St. George temple and got hit on by a guy that said, "I cut it off when Hinckley died" .... talking about his long hair, which was apparently longer than mine. Kind of awkward.... We were all exhausted from lack of sleep and just stayed at Allison's Grandma's house and watched movies and fell asleep while her Grandma went out on the town. Talk about role reversal...
The next day we went to Las Vegas, which surprisingly was really fun. I mean what are 4 poor Mormon girls going to do in a city like that?? I have no clue but we had a blast! Basically counted how many times we got hit on, and by hit on I mean if someone waved at us, that counted. Number 9 I have to say was my favorite though. Some lady was dancing through one of the hotels singing a song that wasn't even playing. "Dancing and mincing as she went", oh I should mention she was about 65 years old too. We went to the M&M factory. Highlight of my day. :) Coconut M&M's are the new thing people, but keep your eye out for pretzel M&M's too! ohhhhhhh baby! Then when we got back we were exhausted from the festivities and once again, sat at home as Allison's Grandma was out cruising the town, or something like that. Ok, she was at a relief society activity but that counts, right?
Saturday we lounged around a pool as I proceeded to get very very very crispy. And when I mean crispy I mean I look like a candy cane. Red from head to shoulders, white stomach, red from legs to ankles, white feet. Don't ask how my feet didn't get burned, I'm still trying to figure out that mystery. But we had a good time, till we realized how fried we were. Well, I was the worst, and NO I DIDN'T WEAR SUNSCREEN.... AGAIN! So... yeah, I kind of deserve it. But I told my dad my goal was to "get fried". Goal accomplished.
Then the last couple days in Provo we just relaxed and had fun with friends. It was so nice to just relax and do whatever and not worry about homework or assignments for school. Blissful actually.
Here's some pictures from the festivities.
