The Remarkable Human Body

So I got this email from my anatomy professor (Rachel Tomco=My Hero!). She sent us this link to a talk from Russell M. Nelson. I really liked it and well, you all know how I feel about the human body, so I had to post it. Take a look: The Remarkable Human Body

Oh Happy Day!

So... my anatomy lab midterm is this Saturday. Which usually would never be a good thing, but midterm = halfway there. Hard to believe sometimes. Only a couple months left and I'm on my way home to the sunshine state. Yee-Haw!

Yet Another Snowboarding Accident...

Why does its not surprise me? I went snowboarding with Jenny on Friday and have yet another bruise on my leg. I guess thats better than finding deep fascia on my pants like Rachel Tomco huh? Well, I was on the lift.... yes, the lift, the place where horrible things happen, and I was looking back talking to the lift guy when my board got caught on the snow as we were ascending, pulling my leg down with it. Ripped my leg right back and now I have a nice big bruise on the back of my right leg. Yes! It wasn't that bad of a day till on the way home Jenny's car overheated and we were stuck on the side of the road for 2 hours. Ah, memories! It was a awesome day though. Great snow and great weather. Just another day in paradise. :)

The Human Brain

Sooo... I was talking to Joe on the phone today explaining why I haven't written on my blog recently. I have no blog worthy posts to write about so I just didn't. I told him about how yesterday in my anatomy lab I held the human brain in my hand for the first time. I was told that was definitely blog worthy. So here I am sharing about it.

Ready?

I held the human brain in my hand for the first time yesterday.

It's crazy how small it is and all the different parts are tiny, but they do SO MUCH! I love my anatomy class. Especially because we are only 1 of 2 schools in the country that get a cadaver lab as undergraduates. It is so cool to learn off the cadavers! You look down and there is hand. Or you walk into the room and there is a leg on the table. It is such a cool class. Everyone that had the opportunity to take it should. ITS AMAZING!
